Brand & Marketing Associate - Marketing - Hybrid (4+ yrs)

About Us

Earthbond is the newest one-stop-shop for African small and medium-sized businesses that need climate resilience. We’re not just offering solar installations. We are offering a vision for Africa’s future — a future where over 45 million businesses thrive on clean, affordable, and reliable energy.

Our technology de-risks clean energy opportunities using carbon accounting, IoT, and AI to unlock capital across this space.

We’re a young team of movers and shakers with backgrounds in fintech, off-grid energy, and economic development looking to make impact and returns throughout emerging markets.

About the job

As Brand & Marketing Associate, you will own how Earthbond shows up, both in the room and online. You'll plan and run the events and activations that put us in front of SME owners. You'll also shape the content strategy that turns those moments, and our wider story, into steady brand awareness and qualified leads for Sales.

This is a strategic, hands-on role. You'll decide what we say, where we say it and why. Then you'll capture it on the ground and write it up. You won't be our video editor. You will be the person who spots the story, films it on the spot and turns it into content that converts.

What You'll Do

Event & Experiential Marketing

Identify the markets, trade associations, business clusters, expos and industry events where Lagos SMEs gather, and recommend which ones are worth our time and budget

Plan and run in-person activations with Sales, including logistics, vendors, materials, staffing and on-site lead capture

Prepare event materials such as banners, flyers, one-pagers, demo setups and talking points

Follow up after every event: hand leads to Sales, report attendance, leads and cost per lead, and refine the playbook

Build a recurring events calendar tied to sales targets, product launches and seasonal moments, such as fuel price shifts, the dry season and budget cycles

Content Strategy & Planning

Lead regular content brainstorms with Sales and leadership to turn customer conversations, installs and market news into story ideas

Own the monthly content calendar across LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook, WhatsApp and email

Plan campaigns around events, launches and industry moments, with clear goals and messaging for each

Define content pillars and audiences for SME owners, partners, affiliates and investors, and keep messaging consistent across them

Track performance across reach, engagement, traffic, leads and conversions, and use the data to decide what to do more of and what to stop

Content Capture & Writing

Film footage at events, installs and customer sites, including testimonials, behind-the-scenes clips and before-and-after shots, ready for editing

Write social captions, blog posts, newsletters, case studies, event recaps and educational explainers on solar savings and financing

Brief and coordinate with designers or video editors, internal or freelance, so finished assets land on time and on brand

Engage daily with customers, partners and industry voices online

Brand

Work closely with the CEO and leadership to sharpen the brand narrative and make sure every touchpoint reflects it

About You

You can hit the ground running. You think in campaigns, not just posts. You're as comfortable working a crowd at a trade fair as you are writing a sharp LinkedIn post that evening. You're organized enough to run an event end to end and curious enough to keep asking what SME owners care about.

You're an empathetic, transparent communicator who isn't afraid to share your view. You care about the mission. Giving more Africans clean, reliable energy energizes you.
