We are seeking a knowledgeable, passionate, and student-focused Part-Time Lecturer – Human Resource Management (HRM) to join our academic team in Ho.
Where You Come In
As a Part-Time Lecturer in Human Resource Management , you will deliver engaging and academically rigorous instruction across assigned HRM courses.
You will plan and deliver lectures, facilitate discussions, prepare learning materials, assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and help students connect HR theories and principles to real workplace situations.
You will bring current industry knowledge into the classroom and help students understand how effective people management contributes to organisational performance.
This role is ideal for an HR professional or academic who combines strong subject knowledge with excellent communication, teaching, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Key Accountabilities
In this role, you will

Plan and deliver high-quality lectures in assigned Human Resource Management courses.

Develop lesson plans, lecture notes, presentations, case studies, exercises, and other learning resources.

Explain HRM theories, concepts, policies, and practices clearly and effectively.

Cover relevant areas such as recruitment and selection, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, workforce planning, organisational behaviour, and HR strategy, as assigned.

Connect HR theories to practical workplace situations and current organisational challenges.

Facilitate classroom discussions, tutorials, group activities, presentations, and practical learning sessions.

Encourage students to analyse workplace issues and develop practical HR solutions.

Use relevant case studies, research, industry examples, and current developments to enrich learning.

Incorporate appropriate technology and digital learning tools into teaching.

Prepare assignments, quizzes, examinations, projects, presentations, and other assessments.

Mark and grade student work fairly, accurately, and consistently.

Provide timely and constructive feedback to help students improve.

Monitor student participation, progress, and learning outcomes.

Provide academic guidance and support to students when required.

Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, grades, and other academic information.

Participate in examination activities, including invigilation and moderation, when assigned.

Collaborate with academic colleagues to support effective programme delivery.

Review and update course content to reflect current HR practices, workplace trends, employment standards, and emerging developments.

Support curriculum review and continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain professional and ethical standards in teaching, assessment, and student interactions.

Participate in departmental meetings and other academic activities as required.

Support student mentoring and academic advising where applicable.

Keep up to date with developments in HRM, employment practices, organisational development, and people management.

Qualification & Experience
Candidates should hold a relevant academic qualification in Human Resource Management, Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Organisational Development, Management, or a related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution.
A Master’s degree or higher in Human Resource Management or a related field will be an advantage.
Professional HR qualifications or memberships, such as CIPD, SHRM, CIHRM , or equivalent professional credentials, will also be an advantage.
Previous experience teaching or lecturing at the tertiary level will be highly valued.
Relevant professional experience in human resources, talent management, employee relations, learning and development, performance management, recruitment, compensation, organisational development, or related areas will be an advantage.
Candidates should demonstrate both strong academic or professional HR knowledge and the ability to translate that knowledge into practical learning experiences.
