We are seeking a knowledgeable, creative, and student-focused Part-Time Lecturer – Marketing to join our academic team in Ho.
Where You Come In
As a Part-Time Lecturer in Marketing , you will deliver engaging, relevant, and academically rigorous instruction across assigned marketing courses.
You will plan and deliver lectures, facilitate discussions, develop learning materials, assess student performance, and help students understand how marketing principles influence customer behaviour, brand growth, sales, and organisational performance.
You will bring current industry trends and practical marketing experience into the classroom, helping students understand both traditional and emerging approaches to marketing.
This role is ideal for a marketing professional or academic who combines strong subject knowledge with excellent communication, creativity, teaching, analytical, and student-engagement skills.
Key Accountabilities
In this role, you will

Plan and deliver high-quality lectures in assigned marketing courses.

Develop lesson plans, lecture notes, presentations, case studies, exercises, and other learning resources.

Explain marketing theories, principles, strategies, and concepts clearly and effectively.

Cover relevant areas such as marketing management, consumer behaviour, market research, branding, sales, advertising, digital marketing, integrated marketing communications, and strategic marketing, as assigned.

Connect marketing theory to practical business situations and current market trends.

Facilitate classroom discussions, tutorials, group activities, presentations, and practical learning sessions.

Encourage students to analyse customer needs, market trends, competitive environments, and business opportunities.

Use real-world case studies and industry examples to make marketing concepts practical and engaging.

Introduce students to relevant digital marketing channels, tools, platforms, and emerging marketing technologies.

Encourage students to develop creative and data-informed marketing solutions.

Prepare assignments, quizzes, examinations, projects, presentations, and other assessments.

Mark and grade student work fairly, accurately, and consistently.

Provide timely and constructive feedback to help students improve their academic performance.

Monitor student participation, progress, and learning outcomes.

Provide academic guidance and support to students when required.

Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, grades, and other academic information.

Participate in examination activities, including invigilation and moderation, when assigned.

Collaborate with academic colleagues to support effective programme delivery.

Review and update course content to reflect current marketing practices, technologies, consumer trends, and industry developments.

Support curriculum review and continuous academic improvement initiatives.

Maintain professional and ethical standards in teaching, assessment, and student interactions.

Participate in departmental meetings and other academic activities as required.

Support student mentoring and academic advising where applicable.

Keep up to date with developments in marketing, consumer behaviour, advertising, digital media , branding, and related fields.

Qualification & Experience
Candidates should hold a relevant academic qualification in Marketing, Marketing Management, Business Administration, Communications, Advertising, or a related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution.
A Master’s degree or higher in Marketing or a related field will be an advantage.
Relevant professional certifications in marketing, digital marketing, communications, advertising, or related fields will also be an advantage.
Previous experience teaching or lecturing at the tertiary level will be highly valued.
Relevant professional experience in marketing, brand management, digital marketing, market research, advertising, sales, customer experience, communications, or business development will be an advantage.
Candidates should demonstrate strong subject-matter expertise and the ability to translate marketing knowledge into practical learning experiences.
