We are seeking a knowledgeable, practical, and student-focused Part-Time Lecturer – Procurement & Supply Chain to join our academic team in Ho.
Where You Come In
As a Part-Time Lecturer in Procurement & Supply Chain , you will deliver engaging and academically rigorous instruction across assigned procurement and supply chain courses.
You will plan and deliver lectures, facilitate discussions, prepare learning materials, assess student performance, and help students understand how effective procurement and supply chain management contribute to organisational efficiency, cost management, competitiveness, and sustainable growth.
You will bring relevant industry practices, current trends, case studies, and practical examples into the classroom to help students connect academic concepts with real-world procurement and supply chain challenges.
This role is ideal for a procurement or supply chain professional or academic who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent communication, analytical, teaching, and student-engagement skills.
Key Accountabilities
In this role, you will

Plan and deliver high-quality lectures in assigned Procurement and Supply Chain courses.

Develop lesson plans, lecture notes, presentations, case studies, exercises, and other learning resources.

Explain procurement and supply chain concepts, principles, policies, and practices clearly and effectively.

Cover relevant areas such as strategic procurement, sourcing, purchasing, supplier relationship management, contract management, logistics, inventory management, warehousing, transportation , supply chain strategy, and procurement ethics, as assigned.

Explain procurement planning, tendering, supplier evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and purchasing processes.

Connect procurement and supply chain theories to practical business and organisational situations.

Facilitate classroom discussions, tutorials, group activities, presentations, and practical learning sessions.

Use real-world case studies and industry examples to strengthen student understanding.
-
Encourage students to analyse procurement challenges and develop practical and cost-effective solutions.

Introduce students to relevant procurement technologies, supply chain systems, and digital tools.
-
Discuss current developments in supply chain resilience, sustainability, digital procurement, risk management, and global sourcing.

Prepare assignments, quizzes, examinations, projects, presentations, and other assessments.

Mark and grade student work fairly, accurately, and consistently.

Provide timely and constructive feedback to help students improve their academic performance.

Monitor student participation, progress, and learning outcomes.

Provide academic guidance and support to students when required.

Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, grades, and other academic information.

Participate in examination activities, including invigilation and moderation, when assigned.

Collaborate with academic colleagues to support effective programme delivery.

Review and update course content to reflect current procurement practices, industry standards, regulations, and supply chain developments.

Support curriculum review and continuous academic improvement initiatives.

Maintain professional and ethical standards in teaching, assessment, and student interactions.

Participate in departmental meetings and other academic activities as required.

Support student mentoring and academic advising where applicable.

Keep up to date with developments in procurement, logistics, supply chain management, sourcing, and related fields.

Qualification & Experience
Candidates should hold a relevant academic qualification in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Purchasing and Supply, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution.
A Master’s degree or higher in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline will be an advantage.
Professional qualifications or memberships such as CIPS, CILT, or equivalent recognised professional credentials will also be an advantage.
Previous experience teaching or lecturing at the tertiary level will be highly valued.
Relevant professional experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, logistics, inventory management, contract management, supplier management, warehousing, transportation, or supply chain operations will be an advantage.
Candidates should demonstrate strong subject-matter expertise and the ability to translate procurement and supply chain knowledge into practical learning experiences.
