As part of our Ghana Project , we are seeking a proactive, organised, and technically capable Project Manager – Fibre to coordinate and support the successful delivery of fibre infrastructure projects.

The Opportunity
The Project Manager – Fibre will coordinate fibre infrastructure projects from planning and mobilisation through implementation, testing, completion, and handover.
The successful candidate will work closely with fibre engineers, field teams, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure that fibre deployment activities remain on schedule, meet approved technical requirements, and comply with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will
Plan, coordinate, and monitor fibre infrastructure projects throughout the project lifecycle.
Support project mobilisation, route planning, site preparation, fibre deployment, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
Develop and maintain project schedules, work plans, milestones, and activity trackers.
Coordinate fibre technicians, engineers, field teams, contractors, subcontractors, and other project resources.
Monitor fibre installation and deployment activities to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
Coordinate activities including fibre laying, duct installation, trenching, duct preparation, fibre splicing, termination, testing, and related infrastructure works as applicable.
Conduct or support site inspections to monitor progress, workmanship, materials, and implementation quality.
Coordinate with civil works teams where fibre deployment requires trenching, excavation, reinstatement, or other civil activities.
Monitor project progress and take corrective action when activities fall behind schedule or deviate from approved requirements.
Identify technical challenges, resource constraints, access issues, and potential project risks and escalate them promptly.
Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, local stakeholders, and internal teams to resolve project issues.
Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance and follow up on outstanding deliverables.
Review project drawings, route plans, technical specifications, method statements, work schedules, and other relevant documentation.
Maintain accurate project records, site reports, installation records, testing results, progress reports, and handover documentation.
Prepare regular project status reports for management and clients.
Coordinate project meetings and document decisions, action points, and follow-up responsibilities.
Support project budgeting, procurement coordination, resource planning, and cost monitoring.
Monitor the use of materials, equipment, labour, and other project resources.
Coordinate fibre testing, commissioning, acceptance, snagging, corrective works, and project close-out activities.
Ensure that project teams follow approved quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Promote safe working practices across fibre deployment and field activities.
Identify opportunities to improve project efficiency, deployment quality, cost control, and delivery timelines.
Undertake other project-related responsibilities assigned by management.
Qualification & Experience
Candidates should
Have 1–3 years of relevant experience in fibre deployment, telecommunications , infrastructure, project management, engineering, construction, or project coordination.
Demonstrate practical knowledge of fibre-optic infrastructure and deployment activities .
Demonstrate an understanding of fibre installation, splicing, testing, commissioning, and related field operations.
Demonstrate knowledge of project planning, scheduling, resource coordination, monitoring, and reporting.
Demonstrate the ability to interpret technical drawings, route plans, project specifications, and related documentation.
Possess strong organisational and time-management skills.
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Possess strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
Demonstrate the ability to coordinate multiple teams, contractors, activities, and deadlines effectively.
Demonstrate strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant project management or reporting tools.
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accurate documentation practices.
Demonstrate a proactive approach to identifying and resolving project challenges.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and timely project delivery.
Be comfortable working in both office and field environments.
